Screenshot protection
On Android, the operating system refuses screenshots and screen recordings anywhere in the app, including chats and profile photos. Apple provides no equivalent control, so on iOS this cannot be enforced.
Verified real people
A live face check confirms there is a real person behind a profile before it can be seen by others, and flagged scans go to a human reviewer rather than an automatic rejection.
Mute Date
Get paired with someone with no photos and no names shown. Either of you can walk away, and a chat only opens if you both agree to it.

Clear answers
The app is free to download and use. Some extras — such as a subscription, message packs or a visibility boost — are paid, and every price is shown before you buy anything.
On Android the operating system blocks screenshots and screen recording throughout the app, so an attempt fails and a recording comes out blank. iOS does not give apps that ability, so we cannot claim it there. No app can stop someone photographing a screen with another device.
No. Matching uses approximate distance so you can find people nearby, and your precise location is never shown to another user.

No. MuteMate gives you a private display name when you join, and the name on your Google account is never shown to other members. You can re-roll the display name if you want a different one.
Women go through a short live face check before their profile can appear to anyone, and a scan the system is unsure about is looked at by a person rather than rejected automatically. Men can verify too and get a verified badge.
A chat opens when you both like each other. Instant Chat also lets you send a first message before that.
You can block or report anyone in one tap. A report also removes that person from your feed and closes your chat with them straight away, and our moderation team reviews it.
Yes. A couple can mark their profile with "We are a couple", and it shows on the profile so everyone knows up front.
