Not everyone is looking for one thing. Some people are a couple meeting others together, some are exploring an open relationship, and some just want to be upfront about what they enjoy. MuteMate is built so you can say so clearly — without it following you around.
Profiles for couples
Turn on “We are a couple” in Edit Profile and your profile shows a Couple badge wherever your age and details appear. Anyone looking at your profile knows straight away that they are talking to a couple.
A couple profile is one account, run from one phone, with one set of settings.
Finding couples
The Couples search filter narrows your feed to couple profiles only. Search filters are part of Premium.
Temptations: say what you are into
Temptations are the interests on your profile, and they are more honest than most apps allow. Alongside everyday ones like Music, Gaming and Massage, you will find Open Relationships, Couples + Single, Roleplay and Fantasies.
Picking them up front saves everyone time. People who are not into the same things can move on, and people who are can see it before they say hello.
Searching by Temptations
With Premium you can pick up to five Temptations and see only people who have all of them. It is a narrow search on purpose — the more you pick, the fewer people match, and the closer they are to what you asked for.
Privacy matters more here, not less
Open relationships and couples dating are exactly the kind of thing people prefer to keep private. Everything in our privacy guide applies: no real name, blurred profile photos, view-once photos in chat and screenshot blocking on Android.
Respect and consent
- MuteMate is for adults aged 18 and over only.
- A Temptation on a profile is an interest, not an agreement. Ask, and accept a no.
- Explicit photos must never be sent to someone who has not asked for them.
- Report anyone who pressures you, lies about being a couple or makes you uncomfortable.

Can a couple share one MuteMate profile?
Yes. Turn on “We are a couple” in Edit Profile and your profile shows a Couple badge. It is still one account with one sign-in.
How do I find couples on MuteMate?
Use the Couples search filter, which shows only profiles marked as a couple. Search filters are part of Premium.
Is MuteMate an adult content app?
No. MuteMate is a dating app for adults. It lets people be honest about what they are looking for, but it is not a place to publish explicit content.
